Nicaragua Weather
Nicaraguan weather is usually awesome, tropical, warm and humid. When you plan your Nicaraguan vacation, be sure to bring clothes for hot dry climates and cool wet weather.
The rainy season is typically from May to October, but with the global warming phenomenon and the el NiƱo effect, these dates are changing. The hottest months in Nicaragua are March, April and May, often called Nicaragua's sea season. Vacation tourists find any time of year a pleasure to visit Nicaragua, except when the heat becomes overwhelming or the rains relentless. But then, you just jump on a bus and go to Costa Rica or up to Guatemala where the weather is sure to be more comfortable.
The climate in the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua has the highest temperature and humidity of the entire country. Perhaps that is why the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua is still undeveloped tropical jungles and remote fishing villages on pristine unspoiled beaches.
